🧩”Written by a Korean, for the world”
About KoreaFeel
I’m a Korean. Born here, raised here, lived here for over 60 years.
Not a Korean-American. Not an expat. Not someone who visited Seoul for two weeks and wrote a travel guide.
Just a regular Korean — who played golf badly, ate well, worked hard, raised a family, and watched this country change in ways that still surprise me.
I started KoreaFeel because I kept noticing the same thing.
Foreigners were curious about Korea — genuinely curious. Not just K-pop and kimchi. They wanted to know why Koreans ask your age before your name. Why office workers stay until midnight even when there’s nothing left to do. Why a country with one of the highest education rates in the world has one of the lowest birth rates.
Good questions. Real questions.
But most of the answers online were written by people who looked at Korea from the outside. Interesting, but incomplete.
I write from the inside.
No diplomatic softening. No tourist-friendly framing. Just what I actually think — about my country, my culture, and the people I’ve lived alongside my whole life.
Some of it will make Koreans uncomfortable. Some of it will surprise foreigners. That’s the point.
This is not a travel blog. This is not a K-culture fan site.
This is one Korean’s honest take on what Korea really feels like — from the inside.
Welcome to KoreaFeel.
